Vanessa Murdock is an American broadcast journalist currently working as a meteorologist and reporter for CBS 2 in New York.

She is the station’s weekend morning meteorologist and weekday reporter. She also worked at WTKR in Norfolk, Virginia as a weather forecaster.

Murdock started her meteorology career at Penn State University where she graduated with a Master’s degree in Meteorology.

She then moved to Central Virginia and landed a job as a broadcast meteorologist at WCAV/WVAW/WAHU. Vanessa worked for two years as the evening weather anchor for both the local ABC and FOX affiliates in Charlottesville and loved every minute.

Later on, she relocated to Norfolk, Virginia, where she spent nearly five years forecasting weather.

Notably, she played an integral role in reporting on Hurricane Irene.
